180 mile relay

I'm running 14 miles of a 180 mile relay this weekend. I've been worried all week about the point of doing this, like why do I deserve to waste precious natural resources just for the fun of it? I guess all endeavors of life could be scrutinized in the same way.

I'm taking the opportunity to visit a member of the family who lives far away, and reconnect with an old friend. So, hopefully the trip won't be completely in vain.

I think that is my ultimate life goal, that the journey is not in vain. That something is better because of my time on the planet.
