Hiatus

Starting again. Feels like I'm starting from scratch. Just re-read my last post from February and am feeling really bad about how mean I was towards Mr. Brooklyn. And, since we've seen each other a few times these last couple weeks, how I'm hoping we can move past those feelings.

I'm starting to cook all the time. It is wonderful. I'm looking seriously at starting my own restaurant. Now all I have to do is win the lottery ;-)

Have to get on a track, and stick with it for once in my life.

In other news, my grandfather died. This came as a non-surprise, as he was very sick and in hospice. However, his talent for architecture, water color, and raising wonderful children will be greatly missed.

It is very sad while at the same time not sad at all. He lived for 91 years and raised 8 lovely children. I hope to have his art in my restaurant, and I will certainly remember his love for fresh fish, homegrown vegetables, and fresh bread as I build my menu.

Flying home to minneapolis to see the family next week. Then, I'll be back in full force with F&D. Be ready.
