Prunes and Chocolate

You know that awful feeling when someone turns out to be the complete opposite of what you were hoping they would be? The few days after the end of a friendship or relationship that seems as if it will stretch into months. The time when you think of things that you could have done differently, all the while knowing that it has nothing to do with what either of you did, or the people you are. It was just not the right time, not the right combination. Not the right person.

It's very sad.
