You know how you hear someone's voice on the radio, and you feel like you know what they're going to look like, and then you're TOTALLY wrong?
This happened to me recently. I regularly listen to a podcast called "Stuff You Should Know," from howstuffworks.com. The podcast is hosted by two guys, Josh and Chuck.
I have listened to the podcast for over a year, and in that time I had definitely formed an image of what each guy would look like. But then today, for the first time, I saw a picture of them on the internet. And when it comes to my projections, I could not have been farther off. Here's how it broke down:
Chuck:
Projected: Skinny hipster dude with a newsboy cap. I envisioned a kind of aging Elijah Wood, only taller.
Actual: Kind of like Jonathan Frakes, who played Captain Will Riker on Star Trek, the Next Generation.

Josh:
Projected: I had Josh pictured as a cross between Seth Rogan and Mr. Toad from the classic Disney short "The Wind in the Willows."
Actual: Kind of like a friendly, glasses-wearing Russell Crowe.

I ran a face morph between Josh and Russell Crowe.

And—whoah, out of left field—here's Chuck, morphing into Luciano Pavarotti. Both morphs are courtesy of MyHeritage.com.

Pretty good, right?
