Being a Good Roommate

This post should really be called "Trying to be a good roommate". I've decided to take the advice of the last guy I dated and make amends with my roommate. But, after reading the following exchange -- I mean Come on! It's totally her who needs to show some effort. She also broke my favorite Voss water bottle and never replaced it. I guess some people were just raised with no manners. Hm.

ME: Can you please make sure Pepsi doesn't go in my room anymore? The gate should always be up. I found pee on my bed. Thanks. Also, if you're not able to walk her enough so that she doesn't have accidents, I don't know if I feel comfortable putting down a deposit for her, because that deposit is lost if there is damage to the floors.

HER: Pepsi was with me the whole time from 7 when I got there to 7:30, we left with my gf and I put the gate down so Fitz-G can play with pepsi, but we left shortly after. . .

HER: and pet deposits are non-refundable per Tammy anyway, sorry but like I said it wasn't Pepsi, we were there for only 30 min and we were in my room

ME: It was not Fitz G. It may have happened this morning or even yesterday and I just didn't notice. Fitz G is walked 5 times a day and she has never had an accident before. I'm not mad, just frustrated that within one week there have been two incidents of dogs peeing in my space. The gate is going up. And now I have to pay to wash my sheets as well.

HER:Pepsi doesn't really go in your room, on saturday it was Coke, and I'm really sorry, I will def. be more careful with the whole gate thing. She was in my room the whole time, thats the only reason I'm arguing a bit, but I don't really want conflict.

ME: You were totally right about that sushi place, good stuff.

HER: I told you!

HER:Hey hun was wonderin if you could not leave your hairs after you brush your hair on the bathroom counter ;) Thanks ;)

ME: Sure

HER: Gracias. What are you doin tonight? wanna plan a dinner me and you? sometime this week or next?

ME: Sure, but only if you teach me another one of your awesome family recipes.

HER: Ya for sure!

See how hard I'm trying? I feel really good about this.
