I thought of an idea for a Saturday Night Live style skit after having to kill about 300 ants last weekend.
It would be called "Creative Answers for Pest Management" and it would be a commercial for a Pest control company that has discovered special chemicals to give pests that don't kill them, but rather convince them to leave. For instance: Mouse Away would be a little pellet, that when eaten made the mice yearn for a far away place (far away from your place that is). And Ant Be Gone would be a paste that you could put around ant hills that would make the ants suddenly very bad at directions and incapable of following each other around (and thus they would lose their main strategic method of food gathering).
I could see this being depicted by animation.
It was hard for me to kill those ants, even though I know that it would be even harder to eat ants in my cereal (I don't eat cereal actually, but you know what I mean).

Wow! Yes, this would be a great skit for SNL. Perhaps a powder that makes ants yearn for outer space? Or maybe get them a Wii and then they could be addicted to video games and never leave the anthill? Or maybe some tiny prozac is what is called for.
